Bringing the Outer Limits home...

SCI-FI STEALTH HIT

Completely without fanfare of any sort (and picking up where Turner Network Television left the show twisting in the wind), the Sci-Fi Channel has begun airing original OUTER LIMITS episodes, commencing January 2nd, 2002, with "The Galaxy Being." Each episode airs twice, at 2:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. PST. They are being shown in syndication order and "stripped" so that theentire run of 48 episodes will spool out across approximately two months. Whether they repeat after this initial run remains to be seen. Since they are showing in a one-hour timeslot, expect each episode to be edited by roughly seven to eight minutes, since the running time of each is 52 minutes, and the current cap for available commercial time per hour is 15 minutes, 44 seconds.
