Produced by the same guys responsible for TALES FROM THE CRYPT,
this series ran for a single season of 10 episodes, June-July 1997.
Also derived (like CRYPT) from the William Gaines comics, the series
was originally to be titled WEIRD SCIENCE.

Directed by William Malone
Airdate: 11 June 1997

" # 50557" (Jeffrey
Combs) tortures his final victim before his arrest during the
title sequence.

#50557
undergoes assorted humiliations at the hands of Dr. Nordhoff (David
Warner)

#50557
gets a new cellmate - #40132 (Ron Perlman)

#50557
is sentenced by the Judge (Jeff Corey): "Guilty, guilty, GUILTY!"

DJS and Bill Malone on the spaceship set built by Greg Melton. Bill
wanted to shoot extremely dark, use Dutch angles, and emulate as
much as possible the Gothic look of an OUTER LIMITS episode directed
by Gerd Oswald — even to the extent of casting Jeff Corey,
a veteran of THE OUTER LIMITS who had appeared in the episode, "O.B.I.T.",
in 1963, under Oswald's direction.
DJS did an additional teleplay for the series,
an adaptation of "The Man Who Raced Time," for director
(and series producer) Richard Donner, but the series was terminated
before the episode could be filmed.
Assorted ad art for PERVS 'O SCI:
"The boundaries are changing" and "A mind is a wonderful
thing to twist."
People actually get paid money to think up lame-o jingle phrases
like this for every poster you've ever seen.
